The dog is also known as the African barkless dog and this is one of the oldest natural breeds known to man. The breed is so old that there were found carvings on the pyramids that depicted these dogs.

Basenji Breed -

This type of the dog differs greatly from all the other types. This is one of the oldest pedigrees that are the descendants of African jackals whereas other dogs are the descendants of wolves. These dogs are small, shorthaired hunting dogs. Basenji breed rescues will hardly allow one to adop a dog if the person has no experience with dogs.
